September 26, 2017

The Hebrew Bible stories are about family, and through our faith in Jesus, they become stories about our family. This is a sermon about that...

(We're still working on the audio for these sermons by the way, apologizes for some bump sounds!)

This is a sermon with a game at the beginning! Played by four members of our parish, this game simulates the kinds of choices we had to make thousands of years ago, when we considered sacrificing animals to ancient gods. A regular sermon follows. Apologies for bad sound quality for the first half!!! G+

13th Sunday after Pentecost - The Reverend Geoffrey Chapman

September 6, 2017

This is a sermon about a difficult conversation between Jesus and Peter, where Peter challenges Jesus when he says that he must go to Jerusalem, be betrayed and crucified. The cross has become a common symbol, but in the ancient world it was a terrifying symbol. What does it truly mean to take up our cross and follow Jesus?
